Congratulations Kavita! 7.11.25
Please join us in celebrating Kavita on two amazing accomplishments — earning her Level 1 NYS Teaching Assistant Certification and being promoted to Lead TA! Her dedication, compassion, and natural connection with the children make her such a valuable part of our team. We’re so proud of all she’s achieved and grateful for the care and heart she brings to her classroom every day.
Kavita says that her experience with the certification process was positive. She found the classes very informative, especially about learning strategies. “It really opens your perspective in things you usually gloss over, take for granted. To be more aware as an educator makes you more available, more present for your students.”
Moving from a school-age classroom to a preschool one is a bit of a change, one that Kavita says is so interesting. She loves seeing the little ones and having the perspective of how they progress, how much we can help, from early years to later ones.
Way to go, Kavita! Your future is bright!

6.20.25 Congratulations to Annie!
Look who is off the clock after today! Happy RETIREMENT, Annie! During 23 ?? years of service to Crossroads, you have been amazing with children, parents, and coworkers – just think of all the lives you’ve impacted with your positivity and knowledge. You are truly a rockstar! Thank you for all you’ve done for all of us.

5.22.25 Congratulations to Julia!
Join us in congratulating our valued TA, Julia B, who has officially earned her NYS Teaching Assistant Certification!
Her journey has been one of dedication, patience, and perseverance — and as she says, “Good things take time… better things take a little longer.”
We couldn’t be prouder of her growth and the heart she brings to her work with our students every day. Here’s to this amazing milestone and all the great things ahead!

4.26.25 Congratulations to Leomani!
Pursuing and obtaining NYS certification as a teaching assistant is a requirement for all of our T.A.s, but it isn’t always as easy as it sounds. It requires extra resources so sometimes falls to the back burner for some.
But not for Leomani. She recently tackled the studies involved and took the test involved with confidence and focus. And she succeeded on her first try.
Leo is a joy to be around, for both students and staff. She’s full of light and her knowledge of child development and classroom management is now stronger, as a certified T.A. Congratulations, Leo! We are so proud of you!

4.14.25 Congratulations to Maggie!
We’re excited to announce that Maggie has been promoted to Clinic Coordinator!
Maggie: “I am thrilled to take on the position of Clinic Coordinator. In addition to my duties as a BCBA, I will also be working more on the business side of things. My passion for helping others will expand beyond direct therapy as I work with the rest of the administrative team to enhance the systems already in place. I am excited for this new chapter in my career and hope to do great things for Crossroads Center for Children!”
Congratulations to Kelly!
A beautiful celebration of empowerment was held on Thursday 3/20 by the YWCA, and Kelly was awarded the Youth Empowerment Award! We are so proud of you Kelly! Hear her speech! https://www.facebook.com/crossroadscenterforchildren/videos
