3.12.26 A Sweet Thank You to the Schenectady Kiwanis Club and Our Crossroads Families
We are so grateful to the Schenectady Kiwanis Club for bringing their generosity and energy to Crossroads once again. Eleven members of the club recently visited our school to prepare for one of our students’ favorite spring traditions—egg hunts! The group collected plastic eggs and candy ahead of time and then spent more than an hour at Crossroads carefully filling hundreds of eggs for our students to enjoy.
The Kiwanis Club has long been a friend of Crossroads, and its commitment to supporting children throughout Schenectady County is truly inspiring. Kiwanis members dedicate countless hours to projects that uplift youth and strengthen the organizations that serve them, and we are fortunate to have been part of that tradition for many years. The visit was very productive – and members were very serious about their work! It was also filled with laughter and spirited conversation, not to mention pizza and snacks.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many Crossroads parents who contributed eggs, candy, cotton balls, and paper bags to use for spring art projects.

We are deeply grateful to our friends at Schenectady Kiwanis Foundation for their ongoing support of Crossroads! This year, their generosity has touched our students’ lives in two special ways.
First, their grant toward curriculum resources helps ensure that our classrooms are filled with engaging, effective tools that foster growth, learning, and confidence for every child. Having access to the right materials makes all the difference in helping our students achieve their goals.
Second, thanks to their gift towards our bike storage and new bikes come Spring, our children will enjoy fun, healthy, and skill-building activities outdoors. Biking not only provides exercise and joy but also builds coordination, independence, and self-esteem—important milestones for every child here!
Schenectady Kiwanis Foundation has been a treasured part of our school community for many years, contributing through grants, volunteering, and building strong relationships with our team. Their commitment to the children and families we serve continues to inspire us.
