Pocket Prep, Thank You for Helping Keep Crossroads Running This Winter

2/5/26

This winter has brought so much snow and cold, and it also brought an unexpected and urgent challenge for our school. In the middle of the coldest stretch of the season, when children and classrooms were on the December break, Crossroads experienced a major water heater failure that required immediate replacement. With a $16,000 invoice and no option to delay, we turned to our community for help.

We are deeply grateful to Pocket Prep for answering that call in an extraordinary way. Our request of $5,000 to help offset the cost of this emergency replacement, was met with an $8,000 gift from Pocket Prep.  Their generosity played a critical role in allowing us to move forward quickly and ensure our school remained fully operational for the children and families who rely on us every day.

Hot water is essential to the daily life of our school—from handwashing and hygiene to food preparation and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for students and staff. Because of this timely support, our team was able to address the issue without disrupting programming or services.

Moments like this remind us that Crossroads is a community, and the willingness of our supporters to step up in times of need is a blessing. You allow us to focus on what matters most: providing consistent, high-quality care and education for children with autism and developmental needs. Thank you so much for your help.
