One year ago, we stood together at our groundbreaking ceremony, filled with excitement and anticipation for what was to come. Today, we reflect on how far we’ve come and the incredible progress made in just 12 months.
Since that pivotal moment, we have moved into our new building—a space designed specifically to meet the needs of our students. This facility has already transformed the daily experiences of our children and staff, providing an environment that is not only functional but also inspiring. The improved lighting, spacious layout, and state-of-the-art classrooms have enhanced learning, while the sense of ownership has brought our team even closer together.
Our journey didn’t stop with the move. We have been hard at work continuing to raise funds for the purchase and renovation of our building, as well as the exciting addition of a new wing. This expansion will allow us to reach even more children and families who need our services, further fulfilling our mission.
We’ve also made significant improvements to our outdoor spaces, prioritizing playground enhancements, nature trails, and increased opportunities for physical activity. These additions will provide our students with meaningful experiences in nature and foster important developmental growth.
A year ago, we broke ground on a dream. Today, we are living it—and still building for the future. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Your generosity and belief in our mission continue to make all of this possible.
Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come!
We ARE still fundraising for the building. We have 3 substantial grants that are pledged but have not yet been received. Meanwhile, we have lots of expenses to work through! Head to our campaign page https://crossroadcenter.org/a-building-of-our-own/ if you’re interested in supporting this project and be sure to reach out to ResourceDEV@Crossroadcenter.org with any questions or ideas that will help.
We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of support today for Crossroads and A Building of Our Own! Thank you to our speakers and the many elected officials, community donors and supporters who came to cheer us on. We are so thankful for each and every one of you! The amazing show of support from our media partners also was something to be grateful for!
