Room 5’s Special Olympics End of Pilot Celebration 6.5.24

Since March, we have been so fortunate to have 4 wonderful Union students here who took on our pilot of the new Special Olympics program. Today we celebrated the success of the pilot and the achievements of the students, who engaged enthusiastically from start to finish. Ryan Miller, Director of Special Olympics NY came to the classroom to deliver shirts to each of the interns, classroom teachers and students, and ribbons for the students.  Thank you to Katie, Maggie, Sage, and Trish for running this pilot for us, and for all of your work in the 4 classrooms you were placed in, too! Congratulations to all of the teachers and students for such an achievement!
