Sensory Considerate Haircuts

Snip, Snip, Success! 3.5.25

Yesterday, we hosted a Sensory Considerate Haircut Day, and it was truly amazing! Two talented stylists, Jordan Yanatos and Aspyn Donohue, experienced in working with children on the spectrum, joined us to provide free haircuts in a supportive and understanding environment.

For many of our students, haircuts can be a real challenge, but this event was designed to create a positive and comfortable experience—and it worked! With parents by their side, kids were able to get their hair cut in a way that felt safe and empowering.

A huge thank you to our wonderful stylists and to everyone who helped make this day happen. Seeing smiles, confidence, and success stories come out of this was the best reward!

Jordan is the owner of Pinup Jordan’s Mermaid Lounge and the mom of a current student. Asypyn, of Upstate Roots II, is a 2004 graduate of Crossroads.
