Welcome Madisyn!
We’re excited to welcome Madisyn, a new intern joining us as she continues her journey toward becoming a speech therapist! Madisyn is a student at SUNY Plattsburgh, graduating in May, and will spend the next two months learning alongside our speech therapist, Brittany, gaining hands-on experience and insight into the day-to-day work of supporting our students. Following graduation, Madisyn will begin her year of clinical fellowship, and we’re so glad she’s chosen to spend part of her training here at Crossroads. Welcome to the team, Madisyn— we’re happy to have you learning and growing with us!

Wednesdays Are Better With LifeSong, Inc.! Every Wednesday, we’re lucky to be joined by a wonderful group of volunteers who help behind the scenes in countless ways — organizing, prepping materials, lending helping hands, and brightening our day with their presence. Their hard work makes a huge difference, and we’re so grateful for their time, care, and dedication. This week, amongst several other jobs, the group put together this vehicle to go into the gym. Thank you, LifeSong! You are truly part of what makes Crossroads so special.

Welcome Alexandria!
Psychology and human development major, Alexandria, will be putting her skills to use in Room 14! Her goal after graduating from UAlbany is to run a private practice specializing in children with autism. We are eager to give her hands on experience to help with her future. Welcome to Crossroads, Alexandria!

Welcome Keaton!
Room 13 welcomed their new intern this week and we are so glad to have him! Keaton is attending Siena and is eager to learn as much as he can about childhood behaviors and development. Room 13 is filled with fun personalities and Keaton will fit right in. We're glad to have you, Keaton!

Welcome Jill!
Our newest intern, Jill, is joining the Room 5 team and we couldn't be happier! Studying Human Development with a focus in Special Education, Jill is a senior at UAlbany. After graduation, she plans on getting her master's to become a special ed teacher. Jill has lots of experience working with children and is eager to learn as much as she can. We are excited to welcome her to Crossroads and wish her the best!

Welcome Emily!
We're lucky to have Emily join our interns at Crossroads! Attending Siena, Emily loves working with children and has lots of experience with neurodivergent individuals. She will be working alongside a great team to ensure the 2-3 yr olds in Room 2 learn lots in a supportive environment. Welcome to the Crossroads community, Emily!

Welcome Audrey!
We’re happy to welcome Audrey to Crossroads! Originally from Canada, Audrey came to Siena College to pursue her education and play water polo. She aspires to become a pediatrician and is interning in Room 1 to gain hands-on experience working with children with disabilities. We’re so glad to have her learning and growing with us!

Welcome Katelyn!
We’re excited to welcome Katelyn, Room 4’s new intern from Siena College! Katelyn is a compassionate and driven social work and psychology student who is deeply committed to supporting individuals through challenging moments. Originally from New Jersey, she brings empathy, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn to our community—and we’re so happy to have her here at Crossroads! 💙

Welcome CBS!
We are thrilled to welcome to our "Behind the Scenes" volunteer program, Community Based Services. This crew, like LifeSong, will be with us for 2 hours a week, helping with some important maintenance tasks, from replacing library books to the shelves, to restocking paper goods. We are happy to have them with us!

Welcome Nadia!
Nadia is a Junior at Union College with a dual major in psychology and Africana Studies. She is here for experience with children with special needs, and is very interested in behaviorally based education. We are excited to have her here, where she will spend a semester placed in Room 11.

Carol & Moonbeam
We are thrilled to have Carol and Moonbeam visit us circulating through the building when we're fortunate enough to be able to schedule with them Moonbeam is a flat-coat lab, and Carol is her owner. Moonbeam, aged four, is certified as a Therapy Dog by Therapy Dogs International, and her training shows. Gentle and sweet, she loves children, and our students responded with delight to her kisses and wagging tail.

Margie, Quiet behind-the-scenes rockstar
We are beyond grateful for Margie, a wonderful a part of the Crossroads family for several years. Each week, Margie dedicates her time and talents behind the scenes, contributing in countless ways to support our students, therapists, and teachers. Thank you, Margie, for your unwavering support, kindness, and generosity. You are truly an integral part of our team, and we are so lucky to have you!

Christopher Kus is a retired developmental pediatrician who joins us on Wednesdays as our Library Volunteer. Reading to classes in the Library, he helps the children learn appropriate library behavior, improve listening and attending, and helps teachers work on transitions with their classes. We are thrilled to have him here.

Donna, behind the-scenes-superstar
A big shout-out to Donna, an unsung volunteer hero behind the scenes! 🌟 Yesterday, Donna devoted hours to organizing HR paperwork and files, bringing order to the chaos and making our HR Specialist's job a whole lot smoother. Donna's dedication to detail and tireless efforts haven't gone unnoticed! We are grateful for her commitment!
