Thank you, Wright Family Foundation!

July 12, 2019

As our grant term comes to a close, we wish to thank The Wright Family Foundation for the grant that has supported Crossroads with many materials and supplies for social skills development this past year.

Using soundly researched instructional strategies, our teachers and therapists work on countless skills with students each day. Working to improve students’ skills in the area of functional communication, interaction, play, and self-care are just a few of the goals that are being targeted to help children grow and thrive.

The manner and environment for working on social skills can take so many forms. For example, turn-taking, waiting, sharing, inviting a peer to play, asking a peer to swap colors, or saying “no thank you” rather than hitting the person in front of you… all of these skills and more might be addressed through Physical Education activities, art, music, games or a Speech group.

Throughout the year several purchases were made based upon requests of teachers and therapists. We are deeply thankful for the support of the Wright Family Foundation.

7/26/18  We have wonderful news to share!

The Wright Family Foundation has approved a grant to help us with our work of preparing children for life success!

A grant in the amount of $3,000 is coming soon, to be put towards social skills development for the 2018-19 school year.

As social skills development is an enormous need for our students, we couldn’t be happier about their investment in our school.

The Wright Family Foundation supports organizations and programs that create opportunities for long-term and sustainable impact.

Because of the proven success of our programming with making significant changes and progress for our students, our programming makes us a wonderful match for the Wright Family Foundation’s mission.
We’re incredibly honored to be selected for their philanthropy.
