Thank you Stewart's/Dake Family

May 06, 2020

A million thanks to the Stewart’s / Dake Family for their wonderful kindness during this difficult time. Thanks to a grant program set up especially to help nonprofits who are experiencing hardships related to the covid-19 virus and it’s subsequent mandates, our school will be better able to meet some current expenses.

Stewart’s Offers COVID-19 Relief for Nonprofits

Stewart’s has always been a pillar of support for their community. Stewart’s Holiday Match Program has supported our school with a grant for many years. Several of the local Stewart’s Shops have helped us with our golf tournament or with ice cream for our student fun day. So when the Stewart’s/Dake Family established this grant knowing that, along with businesses and individuals, many nonprofits are struggling right now to make ends meet, they were once again showing compassion for our tightly stretched budget. While our constant expenses continue, some streams of revenue such as a major fundraiser, daycare program payments, and clinic payments, are dry for as long as people are bodily apart.

This money will help with immediate cash-flow to pay our employees. We have approximately 86 full and part time staff, including special education teachers, teaching assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapist, speech and language pathologists, behavior analysts and technicians, and a school psychologist, all of whom are working with everything in them to help their students and families through this time. It’s crucial that we retain our team and keep them employed during this uncertain time.

Thank you again to the Stewart’s / Dake Family. We are very grateful for your kindness and generosity.
