2/5/2019: THANK YOU ♥

The Rite Aid Foundation is an incredible, generous, and amazing organization. We are so very thankful to Gayle Rife, who manages the KID CENTS program, and to the Foundation for the miracle of support that they continually provide to our school and many other nonprofits.

We have just received a $5,000 grant for being selected to be a Kid Cents charity again this year. We’re so proud of our status with Kid Cents, and ecstatic to receive this money, which is sorely needed to help with the great expenses involved in providing education and therapy to children and families.

If you haven’t yet signed up to for the Kid Cents program, please do, by clicking the link above. Thank you to all of our staff, board members, parents, families and friends for being a part of this program. It is a very huge help.

1/25/2019: Best news today!

We’ve been selected again to be a member of the 2019 Class of KidCents charities!

It’s always a good thing for our school when the application process ends positively!

THANK YOU, RITE AID FOUNDATION! The Kid Cents Program is a huge help to Crossroads Center for Children!

2/5/2018: Rite Aid Kid Cents has sent a $5,000 grant to Crossroads Center for Children!

This money will help us to launch a new server/technology storage solution for our school, and is a gigantic help.

Many thanks to Rite Aid Foundation. Thank you, too, to everyone who engaged with us on #Giving Tuesday, helping us to have a great social media presence and potentially win  an extra $2,500. We appreciate the tremendous enthusiasm and show of support.

11/7/2018: We’re excited to announce that we’ll be receiving a KidCents grant soon! The Rite Aid Foundation created the KidCents Thanks For Giving Holiday Program to thank the organizations that participate in the KidCents program for giving throughout the year to make a difference in the lives of children in our communities.

“On November 27, we will celebrate #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, by recognizing every KidCents charity with a $5,000 grant to support your efforts to improve the health, safety and well-being of children in your community.”

Giving Tuesday, 11/27/2018

To build as much buzz around KidCents charities as possible on #GivingTuesday, we are asked to be active on social media leading up to and during this day. As an additional thank you, the charity that has the most likes, shares and comments on their KidCents posts on #GivingTuesday will receive an additional $2,500 grant. We’ll be sharing posts and hope you’ll help us to do so by sharing our buzz to help us win that extra money.

As a non-profit organization, grants and donations to the school are needed to run our school.  KidCents has contributed to Crossroads Center for Children for more than a few years. KidCents  is a wonderfully generous program with a special place in our hearts here at Crossroads. In fact, KidCents was the recipient of our Connecting the Community award at our 2017 Gala.

One of our biggest ongoing expenses is our technology. Our server is outdated and in need of replacement in the coming year. The costs are estimated at $12,000 to $15,000 for the hardware and software and $5,000 for labor involved. Up until this morning, this goal seemed depressingly out of reach. This grant will certainly help us towards this need!

Thank you to everyone who supports the KidCents program, and who has selected Crossroads Center for Children to round up their extra cents to! We couldn’t do this without each of you!

Rite Aid Foundation’s KidCents Program announces grant on the way!

Thank you, Rite Aid, for having the Kid Cents Program! Thank you to all of our Rite Aid shoppers for the support of this wonderful program that does so much in the community!

7/13/2018: Thank you, Rite Aid, for having the Kid Cents Program!  We just have to show off our new library shelves!

We are putting the money we received from our Rite Aid Kid Cents grant to great use and bringing neatness and organization to our school library!

Since the five shelves we had previously were not enough to hold all of our books, we have purchased three brand new ones. For the past several years we’ve been using milk crates and cardboard boxes as book shelves.

The new shelves are the same make as the old ones, and are of excellent strength and quality.  They look awesome and will hold up over time.

The organization of books is an ongoing work in progress, but Mrs. Kathleen, our awesome library volunteer will have us in order in short time.

Thank you, Rite Aid, for having the Kid Cents Program! Thank you to all of our Rite Aid shoppers for the support of this wonderful program that does so much in the community!

Here’s where YOU can sign up to start making a CHANGE and help Crossroads Center for Children prepare children for successful lives. Rite Aid Kid Cents!

Our Library is important to us because it is an essential aspect of our Literacy and ELA programming. Read some more about how the great teachers and therapists at Crossroads are teaching children to love reading!

1/3/2018: We’re honored and excited to have received a Holiday Wishes grant from Rite Aid Foundation KidCents Program!

As grants are vital to our mission, Crossroads Center for Children is thrilled to announce that we have received a $5,000 grant from the Rite Aid Foundation KidCents Program in support of the KidCents Holiday Wishes initiative. This grant will help our school environment immensely.

Crossroads Center for Children has been a KidCents charity for four years and has been a beneficiary of the Rite Aid Foundation’s generosity on several occasions. Crossroads is grateful to have received this grant and plans to use these funds to make a holiday wish come true – improving the environment of the students’ cafeteria by purchasing school cafeteria tables and dividers. These items were part of the space in the previous building that housed Crossroads, but nearly 10 years ago were lost in a water-main break that forced the school to relocate. Since then, funding priorities have not allowed for the replacement of these items, until now through Holiday Wishes.

The Rite Aid Foundation KidCents Program was recognized at Crossroads Center for Children’s annual gala in April, 2017 with a Connecting the Community award. The KidCents Program allows Rite Aid customers to round up their purchases to support the efforts of community organizations such as Crossroads Center for Children. With this grant, Rite Aid aims to recognize Crossroads and other organizations for all they do throughout the year to make a difference in the lives of children in our communities, to support their efforts to improve the health, safety and well-being of children in their community.

Crossroads Center for Children is thrilled to have the help of Rite Aid Foundation KidCents Program for our students. We appreciate the myriad of support that we receive from our community when they contribute to the KidCents Program.
