Thank you, Price Chopper's Golub Foundation!

June 21, 2021
6/21/21 Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation comes to our side again this year!

We’re thrilled to announce a grant towards our Curriculum from Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation! Each year, raising the money to purchase materials from Learning Without Tears, Touch Math, and other supplemental programs is necessary, and this is the third year in a row that the foundation has supported us in this effort.

We are so thankful to the foundation for improving the quality of life – their mission – for our students.

4/28/2020 A grant from Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation will help Crossroads with Curriculum this year.

Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation has been in our corner for several years, contributing to the organization’s fundamental needs, from our playground pavilion, to the development of social skills, and this year, for the second time, to the extension and expansion of curricular programs at Crossroads.

The mission of Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation is to improve the quality of life of residents located in communities where Price Chopper has a strong business presence. These areas are New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

The charitable branch of the Golub Corporation, Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation, was established in 1981 and provides financial support to eligible non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations. Contributions are made in the areas of health and human services, arts, culture, education, and youth activities, within Price Chopper/Market 32 marketing areas. As found at

Grants such as this one are a boon to the school, helping to replace used curricular materials and expand upon the curriculums used in the classrooms and therapy settings. Programs consistently used are Learning Without Tears, Touch Math and Reading A-Z.  Additionally, teachers and therapists supplement these foundational programs in order to meet the goals of each and every child they work with.

5/5/2019 Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation is helping kids develop Social Skills.

Price Chopper is always helping organizations in our region. The Golubs do so very much to make our community better.

This year, Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation is contributing to the Social Skills Development program at Crossroads Center for Children. A grant for $500. will help the school with purchasing items to use with students in the area of social skills development. Needed items such as games, interactive materials such as PECS books, art and music supplies are expenses that are constantly needed. Materials get used up, children change interests as they grow, and the school struggles to keep pace with spending. This gift will make a wonderful difference for the 104 students who are enrolled at the time of this writing.

Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation has been there for Crossroads for several years. From contributing to the pavilion project on the playground, to supporting our Learning Without Tears and Touch Math curriculums, we are so thankful for their generosity and dedication.

In each classroom and therapy area, therapists and teachers integrate socials skills work into all manner of activities. Since our students typically need extra and special work in this area, social skills are targeted throughout the school day. Additionally, activities are planned at certain time-slots in each classroom to cultivate and teach the life-forming skills needed for play, communication, social interaction and coping.

THANK YOU, Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation!

PRESS release Price Chopper grant 2019

Social skills development in children with autism and other special developmental needs will benefit the communities that they reside in now and in the future. As students learn to communicate their needs and wants in functional ways, they are able to engage in the world around them more and more. The skills they learn help them to be able to succeed in other settings and to grow.
