Thank you Berkshire Bank!

May 13, 2020

Many thanks to Berkshire Bank Foundation for a $1,000 grant to help with our 2020-21 curricular needs.

Crossroads consistently uses two curricular programs throughout the school – Learning Without Tears and Touch Math. Additionally, from July 1st to June 30th every year, teachers supplement these programs to build their classroom curriculum to meet the individual needs of their students. Curriculum needs can ebb and change as teachers and therapists stay creative and fluid to be responsive to the youngsters in their care. That’s why money such as this is so critical. It allows for a curricular fund that can be utilized to ensure that our students have the fundamentals for the year, and then spent down during the school year as new needs arise. Last year curricular grants from various supporters helped the school purchase new LWT books and materials, Reading A-Z online subscriptions and printable materials, PECS books and materials to make books for students, printable materials from Teachers Pay Teachers, and more.

The school year at Crossroads begins July 1st, making this new grant a huge help. Many, many thanks to the generosity of Berkshire Bank Foundation for caring about our kids!
