Out-of-this-world-OT group

A mOTor group that that reaches for the stars!

Focusing on hand-strengthening goals with students in several of the classrooms that she works with, Mrs. Meaghan, one of our Occupational Therapists, incorporated Lego building and Play-doh into an awesome Outer Space theme.

Last week in Meaghan’s OT motor group which occurs in rooms 1, 3, 4, 7, and 8, the theme was Outer Space. The focus for this week was hand strengthening, and they made planets out of Play-Doh, rocket-ships out of Legos, and aliens out of pom-poms and googly eyes.

As you can imagine, the kids enjoyed this imaginative choice of activities!
