• “No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.” ― Charles Dickens

Imagine the help you’ll be providing when you make a donation or support an event that benefits Crossroads Center for Children. There are so many burdens to lighten in the world that exists for children with developmental disabilities, particularly autism. Our work is critical; your help is needed. Supporting an event to benefit Crossroads directly helps our students and their families.

Many thanks to Joyce and John Yates for their dedication to Crossroads Center for Children! They are chairing the Golf Tournament again this year, and we are eternally indebted to them for their extraordinary generosity and commitment.

Our annual Golf Tournament is an event not to miss! It takes place at the Edison Club in Rexford on Monday, September 11th, 2017. Registration begins at 10:30 am and lunch begins at 11. The shotgun start is at noon, and dinner begins around 5 pm. For golfers, it is a gem of a day.

There is a generous amount of food and beverages provided throughout the day, and dinner includes food stations with antipasto, seafood, pasta, carving and dessert stations.

Contests include putting, longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole in one, with prizes awarded.  Many AWESOME raffle items and a 50/50 too. PLUS - we have tickets again for a chance to win a KAYAK or an AMISH CHAIR! Details below!

This event is one of our most major fundraisers each year, helping our school raise the finances we need to provide the high level quality of services that our students need.

We need EVENT sponsors, HOLE sponsors and CART sponsors, as well as items to use for our raffle, and teams of 4 to golf. Please print out the forms below, and send them in to our Golf Tournament Co-chairs, Joyce and John Yates.

  • Get Involved!

Fundraising is so very critical to our mission of delivering excellent and intensely individualized services to our very special students.

That is why we have developed a fundraising committee to ensure that a wide variety of events are held across the year. Some are special events, some are sales oriented, and others are accounts that you can register for and contribute to Crossroads every time you shop. Thank you to our 2016-17 committee: Vicki Ramotar, Kelly Young, Cindy Barkowski, Carolyn Zimmer, Carolyn Scanlon, and Rachel Frederick, as well as the MANY individuals who have jumped in to help with the many events this past year! We are currently forming our new committee for the new year! To get involved with our fundraising committee or an event please contact:

    Fundraising at a Glance

We don’t expect any one person or family to contribute to every single event that we have. But we know how hard you all work and want to arm you with the knowledge of the various opportunities that will be available, to help you know ahead of time and select those which suit your schedule and abilities the best.

Our 2016-17 fundraising calendar is available below on this page. While it is subject to change, we pledge to keep changes to a minimum and to keep you updated. You can also follow our events on Facebook at

Thank you for your support! Because of you, we are able to serve approximately 100 students each year, from many counties and school districts.

1 in 68 children are now diagnosed with autism.

Approximately 80% of our students have this diagnosis. We have been using 2 grant-funded curriculums consistently in all of our classrooms for the past few years and having great success. We want to continue to help our students. You can help!

We have a campaign on GiveGab to help us reach our goal of buying the Handwriting Without Tears books that every child in every classroom uses, for the new school year!

We have already raised $297.08 thanks to:

    Deborah Provost

    Amanda Gallippo

    Kathleen Davis

    Alicia Tyson

    Ruthann Kopcha

    Alan R. Mould, Jr.

    Robert Barr (aka DJ Zac)

    Carolyn Oill

These are the consumable books - the kids write in them, draw in them, color - often times they start out with scribbles and end up writing and reading. They use these books in OT also. It is really important, and while we have many grants written and pending, we really need to nail down funds for these books and get them  here by the  first day of school. Please go our Give Gab page and choice the level of your choice!

Thanks for helping!!. Thanks for sharing!!
