Thank you, Henry E. Niles Foundation!

11.29.22 Technology Development Grant

During the past 2 years, like other organizations, businesses, and individuals, we at Crossroads have faced hard times. Our expenses have increased significantly, and while there is help available from our state and federal governments, it seems there is never enough to reach a sense of surety for the future, nor fitting our needs with the specificity of offerings.

The steadfastness of foundations who have been with us annually is life-saving, now more than ever. The Henry E. Niles Foundation is one such foundation that has repeatedly supported our endeavors here, especially in the area of technology. This is an area of continual growth and change and our needs are great.

Many, many thanks to the board of this foundation for a grant in the amount of $2,500 towards equipment and machines for teaching. We are deeply grateful.

About the Henry E. Niles Foundation:

The website homepage of the Henry E. Niles Foundation  states their aim of Nurturing & Uplifting Those in Need.” They certainly have uplifted Crossroads Center for Children, and we’re deeply appreciative!

Found on their website, the mission of the Henry E. Niles Foundation is to help in the nurturing and uplifting of people in need. The Foundation strives to support humanitarian efforts which:

  • strengthen education including special education, literacy and others
  • fight economic hardships through self-help opportunities
  • enhance public health and sanitation on a global basis

As our community is well aware, all three of these targets have found their mark at Crossroads! Further, the work at Crossroads aligns well with the program interests of the foundation, which include:

Primary Program Interests

  • Education – Included in this interest area are primary, secondary and higher education for those motivated individuals who are unable to obtain the benefits of quality education without assistance.
  • Economic Self-Sufficiency – This program area includes but is not limited to:  job training, the encouragement and support of entrepreneurialism, mentoring, and micro-credit initiatives.
  • Health & Independence – Special interests here include medical and public health assistance for the elderly, the poor, the disadvantaged and the disabled.

Crossroads is delighted and honored to be a Henry E. Niles Foundation grant recipient! Thank you!
