Help children with autism and other special needs from all over the Greater Capital Region

April 03, 2019

If you could make a difference in the life of a child with autism, you would, right?

You can!

We offer you the opportunity to do just that and more. Because you want to help, we want you to know that your support of our school will make an impact on not only one, but many children with autism and other developmental special needs.

Crossroads Center for Children provides essential services to the children that come here. Due to the fact that we are a nonprofit organization, we can’t do it without the help of a very loving and generous community. Your donation will help to run the school, making a difference in the lives of over 100 children over the course of this school year.

You can:
  • give them an exciting educational setting with caring and devoted teachers and therapists
  • give them full-year-long programming
  • build the skills that are foundational to success in life
  • benefit all of their families
  • benefit all of the school districts, counties and communities that we serve (from all over the greater Capital Region)

Children with autism and other special needs should have access to learning in the way they learn best, because so many struggle in school. At Crossroads we focus on the individual skills that are most important in our students’ lives. We do so using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is research-based to make the best outcomes with children on the autism spectrum, so it’s the philosophy all of our practices are based upon. Students make progress here when so many have never experienced gains before. It’s as important to our nation as to our local communities that students with autism can acquire necessary skills. This will enable them to enjoy all life has to offer, just like children without special needs can. We envision success and productivity for all of our students, so we’re totally committed to giving them access to the education and therapy they need.

You can help. Because we’re a nonprofit school, Crossroads Center for Children must raise a great degree of our funding. Unlike our public school counterparts, we need  money  from donations, fundraisers, and grants. Our donors invest in the lives of children because they believe strongly that the work we do is important. They feel that effective education is critical – not just to these students but to our society at large. In other words, they know that their money is making something good  happen.

The tax-year is still fairly new, so it’s a perfect time for you to consider a charitable gift to Crossroads Center for Children. Since we are a non-profit 501c3 organization, your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You can help a child learn by donating.
