Friends Helping Friends, 2018

October 18, 2018

Many thanks for the support of our 3rd year with Boscov’s – Friends Helping Friends Day!

(post event followup)

This past Tuesday, October 16, 2018, we held an information table at the Clifton Park Boscov’s for Friends Helping Friends Day.
Thank you to everyone who purchased passes to help the school’s fundraising efforts! Phyllis Sleeper, Cindy Barkowski, and Janet D’Amario deserve extra kudos for pass-selling – thank you! Many thanks to Phyllis Sleeper, also, for volunteering to help with our information table that morning, where we were able to sell additional passes as well as interact with many shoppers and have our name and mission seen by even more. If you were someone who stopped by to talk and take information, we appreciate your doing so.
Thank you to Boscov’s for hosting this annual event to help non-profits such as Crossroads Center for Children, and to Isabelle, Susan, and all of the kind employees at the Clifton Park store for your help and support.

Boscov’s – Friends Helping Friends Day – Oct. 16, 2018

For the third year in a row, Crossroads Center for Children will be participating in Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends Day. This special day is celebrated by Boscov’s stores nation-wide to benefit the many non-profit organizations that are working hard to care for the causes that are important to us all.

Last year, we raised money and awareness as we met many new people who learned about the school for the very first time. Several have since become stronger advocates for Crossroads.

This year our goal for Friends Helping Friends Day is to once again get the word out about our wonderful school.  As we talk with people and provide information, we may be able to help someone new to learn about out work and mission. Money raised, as with our other fund-raising events, will go directly to running the highly specialized programming that Crossroads is so well-known for.

We need your help to do this.

You can help by:

  • PURCHASE A PASS – They are just $5.00 and have oodles of savings for the person who buys one. We have them at our front desk and by emailing VickiR@crossroadcenter.org.
  • PRE-SELL passes. Ask your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone you can, to please buy a shopping pass.
  • VOLUNTEER that day. We will have a Crossroads table at the Clifton Park store from noon to 3 pm. We’ll be selling passes at our table and providing information about Crossroads.

The passes:

  • Each pass provides a 10%, 15% or 25% discount for the shopper.
  • The pass is good only on October 16th, 2018.
  • The pass is good at any Boscov’s store.
  • Each pass is only $5.00, and Crossroads keeps 100% of the money for the passes we sell.
  • Each pass includes chances to win prizes – for example a $500 shopping spree – by filling out a section on the pass and putting it in the “Ballot Box” at the store that day.
  • Each pass makes a thoughtful gesture to give to a friend, in case you are unavailable to use it yourself.

Please email mailto:Vickir@Crossroadcenter.org to help in any of the ways above! Your kind support is greatly appreciated!
