Friends Helping Friends, 2019

October 21, 2019

Many thanks to all who bought passes this year! And an even greater thanks to volunteers who helped sell passes!

We raised over $100 with the help of some of our fundraising superstars. Thanks to Phyllis Sleeper and Cindy Barkowski for selling passes to help raise  money! The funds from Boscov’s Friends passes will help buy supplies for students to use in their classrooms.

8.26.19    Crossroads is excited to be participating in Boscov’s – Friends Helping Friends Day for the 4th year.

Wednesday, October 16th, 2019, from 8 am to 11 pm at all Boscov’s stores, you can shop and save with a Friends pass. If you buy your pass from us, you’ll be contributing to our programming and services for the 2019-20 school year.

Thank you to Boscov’s for hosting this annual event to help non-profits such as Crossroads Center for Children!

We will be providing information about our school at a table at the Clifton Park store on the Saturday prior to Friends Day. In addition, we are selling passes at the school NOW!

Please ask to buy yours at our front desk, or from Vicki Ramotar or Kelly Young.

OR send a check made out to Crossroads Center for Children in the amount of $5.00 for each pass you’d like, and we can mail them to you.

Friends FAQ’s
  1. Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends Day is a nation-wide event to benefit the many non-profit organizations that are working hard to care for the causes that are important to us all.
  2. Each year we raise money by selling the passes, and awareness as we meet many new people who learn about the school for the very first time. Several have since become stronger advocates for Crossroads.
  3. This year our goal for Friends Helping Friends Day is to once again get the word out about our wonderful school.  As we talk with people and provide information, we may be able to help someone new to learn about out work and mission. Money raised, as with our other fund-raising events, will go directly to running the highly specialized programming that Crossroads is so well-known for. Our fundraising goal is $100 – we need to sell 20 passes!
  4. We need your help to do this.

You can help by:

    • PURCHASE A PASS – They are just $5.00 and have oodles of savings for the person who buys one. We have them at our front desk right now!
    • PRE-SELL passes. Ask your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone you can, to please buy a shopping pass.
    • VOLUNTEER on Saturday, October 12th. We will have a Crossroads table at the Clifton Park store. We’ll be selling passes at our table and providing information about Crossroads.
Pass FAQs:
  • Each pass provides a 10%, 15% or 25% discount for the shopper.
  • The pass is good only on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019.
  • The pass is good at any Boscov’s store.
  • Each pass is only $5.00, and Crossroads keeps 100% of the money for the passes we sell.
  • Each pass includes chances to win prizes – for example a $500 shopping spree – by filling out a section on the pass and putting it in the “Ballot Box” at the store that day.
  • Each pass makes a thoughtful gesture to give to a friend, in case you are unavailable to use it yourself.
