Earth Week Recycling Sculptures at Crossroads

April 30, 2018

Last week at Crossroads Center for Children, the classrooms all participated in several fun activities to celebrate Earth Week. One of these was the Recycling Sculptures Contest.  Several classes participated in this event, each making a sculpture using recycled materials (boxes, paper, tubes, cans, anything that would normally be recycled).  Once created, they displayed their masterpieces in their classrooms. On Friday, the sculptures were awarded by our administration team.

Room 12 – Best Teamwork/Longest Lasting (Recycled Person)

Room 8 – Most “Out Of This World” (Planet Storybot)

Room 6 – Most Realistic (Turtle)

Room 13 – Most Colorful (Castle)

Room 4 – Best Use of Recycling Items (Individual Robots)

Room 7 – Most Artistic (Handprint Tree)

Room 11 – Best Celebration of Earth Week (Water Bottle Wind Chime)

Room 3 – Best School Spirit (Crossroads Rocket Robot)

Room 5 – Most Enthusiastic/Biggest Sculpture (Recycled Person)

Aren’t these all phenomenal? Congratulations to all of the winners!
