Arnold Cogswell - a grant THANK YOU!

November 23, 2021

Crossroads is so very proud to have the wonderfully generous support of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region  for several of our grants throughout the year. In particular, over the past few years, their Arnold Cogswell Health Care Fund has provided funding for our Healthy Food Program and for our safety and health during the COVID pandemic. We’ve just received a grant for our 21-22 school year’s Healthy Food Program and HEALTH-related professional development, and are so grateful!

We consider ourselves very blessed to have tremendous help from our community to get through the rough times we continue to operate in. We’re incredibly thankful for this wonderful support and thrilled to be one of the organizations that the Arnold Cogswell Fund cares about!

As found on the Community Foundation’s website:

CONNECTING DONORS TO ISSUES AND ORGANIZATIONS THEY CARE ABOUT

The majority of Community Foundation grants are made in partnership with individuals, families, or organizations who work with the Foundation to facilitate their charitable giving through donor advised funds.  In order to better support donors’ philanthropy and provide the maximum financial support possible to meet community needs, staff augments the funds available through our competitive grant programs by connecting donors to organizations, issues, and approaches aligned with their interests.  We regularly refer proposals we receive in conjunction with competitive grant cycles to our donor advisors.

Thanks to The Arnold Cogswell Health Care Fund of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region! The Arnold Cogswell Health Care Fund’s recent grant is the first to help us pay for health-related trainings here at Crossroads Center for Children, and will be a boost to our CPR/First Aid as one example. This grant will also support our growing Healthy Food Program. We’re proud and grateful for this help!
