An Outing to the Rotterdam Library

October 13, 2017

A favorite day for our classrooms is Rotterdam Library Day!

Thanks to the generosity of the Rotterdam Library, once a month Crossroads is able to take a group for a Read Aloud time. Ms. Nancy, the Librarian is amazing to listen to, and the children love her puppets, songs, and finger-plays.

Each classroom has a turn; the classrooms rotate. This time it was Room 5’s turn.

Library time and time reading with children benefits literacy development, language skills, and social growth for the child. While classrooms also visit our school library here in the building, having the opportunity to take the short walk off campus to the Rotterdam Library is helpful in many ways.

Thanks Ms.Nancy and the Rotterdam Library for your help in our growth!
